We're back in Vegreville, watching as the "Budd cars" leave town headed for points east. In 1971, this train ran daily, departing Edmonton at 1740, stopping in Vegreville at 1906, and arriving North Battleford at 2245. From what I understand, this service lasted until 1977. The station, built in 1930, is listed on the Canadian Register of Historic Places. It is privately owned and, according to a recent Facebook post, can be rented for events.
