CN 2514, one of the very few remaining C44-9WLs, is seen on point f what was this mornings 502. However, I wouldn't catch this unit in action, as school time was right in the way. To make matters worse, the Hagersville subdivision runs right beside my school, so I had to resist the urge to run from class and see this beauty on the move. LOL!

  6. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I’m glad someone sees these things as beautiful.

But I think they are hideous.

Remember too those of us who were around in the early 2000′s or even the 90′s – these were the units that we hated to see…. they displaced our beloved all EMD (and MLW) lashups.

Happy face should work. :) you need to use : and ) together.

  7. @SCH: I hear you and I have to admit, when they came out in the 90’s I loathed them for the very reasons you described. But…. their stubby 4-window Canadian cab has grown on me over the years, especially compared to the countless GE models inundating the market that look like they’re made out of Lego (IMHO). I guess tastes change over the years. Ok, stepping down from the soapbox now. Here endeth the rant. ;-)
