You can smell the paint on brand spanking new SD60F #5523. The unit is shown on its maiden westward voyage at Capreol, Ontario in March of 1989. Classed GF-638b, it produces 3800hp. The 5523 was retired 28 years later in March 2017 and sold to LTEX in 2018. The unit is still earning its keep on the DMV&W.
