CP GP30 5000 leads a pair of C630s, 4559 and 4562, west over what possibly could be Islington Avenue on March 7th, 1987. The city may have encroached on this location a little in the 38 years since the photo was taken. I did not like chasing trains this time of year; the days were warmer, longer, and inviting, but nothing was green yet.

  1. Great picture, despite the season! The location seems to be the Montgomery Road overpass at Mile 8. Used to be a great spot to watch trains. They stopped clearing the brush in the hydro right of way so this location is likely inaccessible. The house where I lived in 1987 is about 2000 ft behind the power in this shot.
