The yellow building is a new Hertz Rent-a-Car shop (built where a house used to be) and beyond that is the new Dundas West Subway Station building under construction, for the new crosstown Bloor-Danforth subway line (opened February next year). Where the station is used to be the St. Joan of Arc Church (SW corner of Dundas & Edna). It was demolished in early 60's the subway station, and moved to a new church at 1701 Bloor St. W.)Compare this with a "Time Machine" photo from 1980: http://www.railpictures.ca/?attachment_id=53600. The block at the northwest corner was boarded up in the late 2000's for a condo development that, a decade and a half later, still hasn't been built.Barker Gummere photo, Dan Dell'Unto collection slide.
