plus an unknown CP Rail unit # ? , anyone?
and a lament....
…. once upon a time Canada had three major diesel locomotive manufacturers: CLC Kingston (F-M licensee), MLW Montreal ( ALCO licensee) and GMDD London (EMD licensee).....market influences along with federal government policies (absent, weak and/or lacking thereof).....now all extinct....

It is a nice bit of history wrapped around that photos… I agree with your lament… No Locos, No Railway Castings (other than cast Steel Wheels – Griffin… no Forged wheels though), one (1) Railcar builder (NSC) since Trenton Works closed, and no rails (SYSCO, and ALGOMA were both producers)….how the mighty have fallen
The out of sight unit looks like it may be a GP7 or 9 unit looking at the radiator grills. I’d guess it may be CP 1682 (TH&B 72) as that would be GMD’s oldest unit outshopped.
TH&B 71 was the first, but as we all know it was destroyed in the grade crossing incident on Webber Rd in Welland.
Those GP60′s were the nicest looking units ever IMHO
