A pair of pups wait on the Uxbridge Subdivision for multiple trains to pass on the Oshawa Subdivision mainline, including this eastbound extra behind a GP9/RS18/H16-44 pairing. The new Scarborough Junction station can be seen beyond the power, built in 1964 to replace the second station, which burnt down in 1960. This structure stood until the Midland Avenue grade separation project in 1977-78.

  1. From retired CNR operator James Blunt:

“Eastward freight trains still originated at Mimico and picked up their Belleville train dispatchers orders at Scarboro as CN called it. Mimico to Scarboro movements were supervised by Traffic Supervisors in Mimico.”
