VIA #1 The Canadian has arrived at Winnipeg Union Station train shed and the platform is buzzing with activity as personnel begin a complete service of the consist. Old laundry and garbage being set off, new linens and food supply being loaded. Water tanks being filled, toilet holding tanks being drained. 
VIA 88706 Glacier Park brings up the rear of the shiny Budd consist at Mile 252.1 of CN's Redditt Sub.

  2. Nice shot. The electric markers looked much sharper that the red paddle.

  3. Never understood why VIA decided to use the paddle terry, marker lights are far safer as you can see them for miles down the track in nearly any conditions, that’s why GO and Amtrak at least still use em

  5. You’re absolutely correct cp5756. The lit markers are safer and certainly more visible than the reflective paddle stuffed into the drawbar.
