Mini-storage line of Trillium back in mid-2008. I assume these all were lined up for scrapping. Shown are TRRY 117 (MLW S-13), Slug 168 (from MLW S-3) and caboose TR420596, formerly CP.

  1. The van was still around recently I believe. Repainted into GIO grey in the last few years. Has anyone seen it this last while?

  2. I love the cobbled together rag-tag feel to this shot…no doubt as to where these originated…

  3. When were these two (engine/slug) scrapped?

The caboose was used for the election a few years ago (probably as a billboard) but otherwise sees very little use

it’s usually parked at feeder yard

  4. Scrapping took place in 2011 and 2012. Its been awhile already.

  5. 117 and the slug were scrapped in May of 2012. The van was apparently slated to be used as shoving platform for the HOPA operations, but I guess that was decided against. I know it had some frame issues.

  6. Dean’s image from June 2023 shows it at Feeder (img 52320). I believe I saw it after that, but not recently. There are storage cars in both legs of the wye as of last week.
