    Pretty rare find… that Whitcomb came to Atlas Steels just after the War….when this photo was taken it would have been outside the “new” Melt Shop completed in 1977/78… that shop replaced the Second World War era Melting Department (1940) which was due south. Original plant and melting facilities were south of Major Street down to East Main…
