Caption: Despite the thick ice-fog, a four-pack of SD40-2s leading a loaded grain train on the mainline is worth going out for. CP 9021, 9022, 9023, and 5875 do the honours of leading train E08 into Regina from the Last Mountain Elevator.
So this quartet did in fact exist!!! I had already exhausted my energy on new years and the day after running around chasing the trio but I heard rumors of 5875 joining them for a couple lifts afterwards that make me wish I kept at it… Only so much I can do with my 2 weeks of winter break visits. 5875 has already since been repainted by mayfield too.
More than worth it !! Thats a gem. We don’t see any of those old Barns down east any more.
Big time wow!!!!
