Caption: For a period a while back, give or take 10 years, I enjoyed sitting by the CP at Concession 7 up on the hill from Grimsby. It was a heady few years when all those ethanol loads were coming thru featuring a variety of SD40-2 paints. It is a real shame these trains are far and between now, and are no longer running the Ham sub.
Here is a typical ethanol load train from the time...CP 5833, ICE 6441, 6101 and 6442 with roughly 80 loads.
The first and third units seen on this train were retired in 2017 and the other two were dealt off to the fledgling RCP&E in 2014.
This is still my favourite 'go-to' location if I ever hear of anything notable to photograph, despite the fact it is getting rather overgrown.
