Caption: Montreal & Southern Counties Railway interurban car 107 is seen at the switch to the Halton County Radial Railway's east turning loop on one of its first runs in a number of years. This evening was an event for their membership (and invited photographers) in celebration of the museum's 70th anniversary, having been founded in January 1954. Car 107 was the museum's third acquisition, and their first interurban car. Built by the Ottawa Car Company in 1912, it saw service until 1955, and was acquired by the museum in 1956.
The public event will take place next Saturday, September 21, 2024 at 1:30pm, featuring a number of invited guests (including founding member, Bob Sandusky,) a parade of streetcars, and unveiling of a plaque at the site of the first spike (just behind me in this image.)

What a beauty ! M&SC 107 is a classic wooden suburban car built by Ottawa Car Co, was the 3rd car to arrive at the Halton County Radial Railway in 1956. It last ran in regular service at the Museum decades ago, and thanks to the hard working electrical and mechanical experts at HCRR, it is running in the “trolley parade” on Saturday September 12th celebrating the 70th Anniversary of the beginning of the Ontarion Electric Railway Association. Electrical “wizard” Gord Mcouat is at the controls as 107 prepares to leave on its return run to the West End.
