Those Pups seemed to be everywhere !
And throughout the seventies the GMD-1′s, the 1000 series, were active every evening in the SJ yard (as I wacked golf balls at the nearby range), departing by 10pm as the north / east bound Uxbridge Sub way freight to Lindsay / Peterborough.

SDFourty, please tell us more about “ten hundreds” assigned to southern Ontario…I’ve alway thought of them as “Western Lines” engines (primarily on the Prairies but also Vancouver Island and occasionally Lakehead Division).
