Caption: I have a few similar angles at this location, but I wanted to try one more. I also needed some US power for this shot; something not difficult to get on the Galt Sub. On the start of a gorgeous Saturday evening, an interesting turn of events unsurprising to the Galt Sub occurred. What I was expecting to be CPKC 137 with KCS 4775-UP 9045 (this was 137 from Toronto to Wolverton), turned out to be a 734 facing west with the KCS swapped for an H2 BNSF (#7688), which must have come in on a 734 earlier. Sometime soon after the original 137 arrived at Wolverton, there must have been some weird power swap because the 9045 trailed on this train and the KCS 4775 ended up staying as the 137 leader to London. My guess is that the 734 took 137's work at Wolverton, so both a train and power swap of sorts. This has happened before on the Galt, but this is another level! It never ceases to surprise me. So, here is a westbound 734 slowly departing Wolverton for London with BNSF 7688-UP 9045.

I always liked this curve & wondered how the folks in the little white house behind the power could sleep with the tracks so close.
Drumbo has a passing track before my time on CP, but I do recall the diamond east of this location. I saw one of the last trains run on the line in the mid to late 1970s. We came along on a westbound, and waiting for us to go by was a CN SW1200RS, a a caboose & a business car. Also, there was a short spur where the station once stood & the pump for the well was still there for a few more years.
