GIO's only job working the Welland area on this day is seen crossing bridge 17 as they return to Feeder after working Verbio and SLM Recycling. Foamers and local residents will be happy to know that the vantage point for this shot, the Forks Road bridge, is finally complete, after the original bridge was closed in late 2018. The $13.8 million project finally gives Dain City residents more than one route in or out of the peninsula south of Verbio, and was a cost share project between municipal, provincial, and Federal governments, with a portion covered by developer, Empire Communities, who is building a subdivision east of the Verbio plant, and on the old John Deere plant property.

  2. A nice view from the new viewing stand.

  3. What a great picture ! A slug crossing the old Welland Canal, would never have imagined that in the 1960’s when attempting to photograph WABASH F units crossing this same bridge. Well done, and thanks for posting.
