CN 148 with CN 2866 and ex CSX Dash 8 GECX 9147, slows to a crawl to protect the Thames Street crossing. In the foreground, the old Ingersoll station whose roof was barely intact on this visit in 2017. It would continue to rot, fatigue and eventually fail. On December 8, 2020 a pair of excavators were called in to demolish the century old building.

  1. Love your photo….an interesting take, something that many don’t do when tying in a station when photographing a train…shoot from behind the building. Well done!

Interesting note…that day I was in Sarnia, and suddenly saw 148 depart. What caught my eye was that former (foamer?) ex-CSX unit. However, by the time I reached the 402 to get ahead of it and hope to catch it at Strathroy…it was far too ahead of me.
