On a gorgeous July evening, CP 6011 leads loaded ballast train GPS-14 through the causeway at the north end of Long Lake in Bala, ONT. Making pretty good time from a noon departure at Cartier, they're doing every bit of track speed to get to Buckskin to meet northbound manifest train #421.

  1. Love this shot. Lighting is fantastic too. Great location choice.

  2. Thanks Kevin! It was a last second choice frame for me and I’m quite glad I went for it.

  3. Lovely shot. Very colourful, nice reflection with that newly painted SD40-2 in my old neck of the woods. One question…why wasn’t the SD40-2 painted in the CPKC scheme? Not complaining though. ;)

  4. Quite a consist!

  5. Nicely composed.
