Also another point is pretty much the entire left side of the frame is now housing – the last field on that side is under active development with brand new everything. An entirely new subdivision is already half way built. It won’t be long until the right side is also filled in.
Oops, I spoke too soon. It’s all filling in on both sides now. It’ll be finished within a year.

If you haven’t been to the area in a while you’ll be shocked. If there isn’t a ‘no whistle bylaw’ there will be demands for one very soon… they’ve stuffed a couple thousand people where those fields are…
There’s a photo of 1804 in the reg Button “trackside” book. In that case, the unit also ran solo, but out of Toronto to Hamilton (via Guelph Jct acct London crew) and then (still solo) to London with an “Aberdeen Turn” train that would have normally been returning to London instead of Toronto. Perhaps there was a crew surplus in Toronto and/or no power at Quebec Street to run it.
Stephen, there used to be lights only at the Blenheim Rd crossing, but now there are gates too. I don’t know if they still whistle there now but the need is less than it once was.
