Caption: Honest Ed's. During a charter on August 15, 2010, soon to be retired TTC 2345 (T6H-5307N, GMDD, 1982-1983) was posed by the famous store "Honest Ed's" with its 23,000 exterior light bulbs on Bathurst and Bloor in Toronto, Ontario as TTC CLRV 4036 (Hawker Siddeley, 1977–1981) passed by on the Route 511. From 1948-2016, this discount store served with slogans like "Not cheaper anywhere else in Toronto!", "Come in and get lost!" and "Only the floors are crooked!". Founder Ed Mirvish died in 2007, but the memory of him and his store are preserved in the neighborhood. Both the CLRV and ALRV fleet were retired by the end of 2019, making this scene now completely different. Examples of the legacy Hawker Siddeley streetcars are preserved at the Halton Radial, Illinois Railway, and Seashore Trolley Museums.

I’ve purchased 100s of rolls of Kodachrome 64 film from that store!!!!!
Very neat shot, a real time capsule.
and Mr. Ed had the best priced Kodachrome!
