As one example of the astonishing level of detail in the Archibald Murchie glass negative of Keefers recently posted (http://www.railpictures.ca/?attachment_id=54515), consider this extreme crop zoomed in to the group of cars near the depot.

No specific date provided, but Mr. Murchie became photographically active in 1893, so the general era of 1890s reported for that photo is believed accurate.  I wonder, is that Mr. George Alexander Keefer, surveyor and construction engineer during the Onderdonk era, and namesake of that CP station, standing on the platform with a rifle and a child and a dog?
