A CP eastbound intermodal train is heading through Milton, Ontario on the Galt Subdivision viewed from the hillside of the CN Halton Subdivision. The consist included freshly repainted CP SD40-2 5743 and Precision National (PNCX) SD40 3107, which was ex-UP 3107. At the time, CP had a group of 7 PNCX SD40’s leased as part of their rapidly expanding mid-90’s lease fleet.

  1. Those CAST containers were cool. They only seemed to be around in the 90s. Also back when the Galt Sub was better. Great image and thank you for taking me back to my childhood :)

  2. Thanks Kevin. Yes, I remember seeing the CAST containers for the majority of the 90′s on CP trains.
