Caught CN 562 with CN ET44AC 3181 and arrived at Merritton to pick up a load from Trenergy Inc. There were no more inbound cars today.

After they lifted the cars they went to Glenridge and uncoupled the cars on the south track west of Glenridge and lit power to Jordan and back to do the run-around and then back to Glenridge to head east long hood forward back to Port Robinson.

  1. Did anyone photograph these things coming down the spur in the Trackmobile?

  2. I have a shot of them coming out of Trenergy with the first one. Just caught it on my way to work, couldn’t see them lift it.

  3. Perfect! As long as someone got it. Be a shame if it wasn’t documented.

    Great coverage guys!

We’ll just have to see what the future holds – it doesn’t look good.

  4. I got it coming down to CN as well

  5. Good catch. What was the use for the tank car?

  6. Brad – I’m thinking the tank tagged along for the ride to avoid the 30 mph Speed Restriction for a single unit running light from Port Robinson to Merritton and/or possibly additional braking for handling the dimensional load?

  7. Actually they switched that tank out at Niagara Falls near Thorold Stone Rd. its an east facing switch easier to access at the plant going west. 562 would do that from time to time.

  8. Thanks for confirming.
