Caption: From Prince Albert, CP accessed their White Fox subdivision via three sections of CN joint trackage for 18 miles, then on CP rails east from Sharpe to Nipawin. To handle grain loads, a trip was run out to pick them up for delivery to Nipawin and returned with empties, and on Wednesday 1981-09-23 it was powered by a typical trio of lightweight (for CN branchline restrictions) RS-23s, CP 8018 + 8016 + 8014, shown here with five loads and a caboose departing Smeaton eastward at 1121 CST.
Today, rails come west from Nipawin only to Choiceland, 13 miles away from here, now operated by Torch River Rail.
