Caption: With extra flags near taut in the wind, CNR GMD1s 1915, 1914 round a curve near Burnt River during a runpast on the UCRS Toronto - Haliburton fall colour excursion of September 1963. This pair of diesels took over at Lindsay for U-2-e class CNR 6167, hauling the excursion up to Haliburton, and return. One of four runpasts held on that trip, another can be seen here at Kinmount.

A beautiful location. A shame the population couldn’t handle it, but amazing it lasted as long as it did. I’ve seen photos of this line into the 80s’s!
Very nice. I didn’t know GMD-1′s operated East of Thunder Bay. Not until recent Years up to their sale/demise.
