Caption: Toronto - Windsor train 29 takes the switch onto the Dundas Subdivision at Bayview Junction, bypassing Hamilton. Passenger trains on the Dundas Sub with a scheduled stop at Hamilton were required to make a reverse move into or out of Hamilton, depending on their direction of travel. This operation can be seen shortly before this image, with train 77 headed to CN's James Street station, and then continuing west after having backed out to Bayview.

Nice photo. The green and gold scheme is a favorite. The power switch machines are nice and shiney, the Signal Maintainer must have had the paint brush out.
A beautiful capture John, of the transition from the CNR olive green, gold and black to the new image post 1961 scheme. In less than two decades, another transition would begin to take place with the formation of VIA. Having said that, the paint scheme of the 6777 remains my favourite to this day.- Ken
