Caption: More sun is right - this has got to have been the most dismal, grey, non sunny fall and winter I've ever witnessed. A bit of sun here and there, but you can count the sunny days on less than two hands for sure. Began in October, and as I type this nearing the end of January, South Western Ontario's grey spell is not expected to break until February 1.
Here's a nice sunny day in October 2018, with the Woodstock turn reversing into CAMI passing the CAMI job's power on the wye. At the time, CAMI was still pumping out the Equinox, OSR still had a dedicated CAMI job and the F units could be found out with nobody else around because they still got out regularly and everyone had their fill. Lucky for me this is one of the few chases I got of OSR 1400.
The CAMI plant switched to electric vehicles in 2023 but halted production due to battery supply issues. They're not expected to re-start until Spring 2024. None of the Brightdrops go by rail... so the CAMI job remains abolished for now. The Gen Auto mixing centre still ships vehicles in and out, about 30 autoracks per week, a far cry from the 80 per day they were doing when the GM plant was full tilt.

safe to say that i’ll be dreading the word “El Nino” for a long time after this winter!
