Extraordinary photo!
It’s surprising how close the freight shed is to the diamond.
A familiar location for me. Thanks for posting!
This is great. The old line, prior to creation of the Halton Sub in 1965, was the Milton Sub.
My understanding is that this freight shed is not the main freight shed, but was for transfer between CNR and CPR trains.
A great photo.
Nice. The railway junction dates from 1879. The Hamilton & North Western Railway first construction train arrived in Milton December 18, 1876. The Credit Valley Railway (George Laidlaw’s road) arrived in Milton late 1877 and the diamond with the H&NW was in place by 1879 when the CVR opened their line to Galt.
