Caption: Back in the days of #327 and #328, the NS autoparts trains, rumbling back and forth down the Grimsby Sub as part of their journey between Talbotville, ON and Buffalo, NY, I saw a heck of a lot of variety. These trains used to run with almost anything, it appeared. Mostly combinations of NS and CP power, but there were some exceptions. This day, the last of June 2005, saw my favourite leader. One of the last two original C&NW units of this road that had been taken over by UP is heading up this train by Grimsby's little kiosk station. The 8646 and its only other still unlettered to UP rep, #8701, were not repainted until 2018. I don't know where they are now, but presumably stored someplace on the UP system.
Power seen in this shot has UP 9621 following the classic C&NW.

Nice looking power. Great photo.
I should have taken the day off work for this one. This only happened once.
