Caption: The difference one year can make. With the very noticeable lack of snow so far this year, I decided to go through the archives to see what conditions were like at the same point for the past couple years. I had almost completely forgotten about this train, as nice as the dual NS leaders as well as a KCS DPU are the most shocking fact is that this was taken on Boxing Day of 2022 with a heavy layer of snow on the ground and what at the time seemed like common blizzards in the air and yet if you move forward exactly a year there’s no snow to speak of no blizzards or flurries and it’s 8° on Boxing Day. So here’s to hoping January will finally provide the gift of interesting and unique snow shot opportunities.
