By the early 90's, CN's GP9RM rebuilt program had cut deep into the ranks of their old high-nosed GP9's, which were quickly becoming extinct as each year passed. 4506 would be rebuilt into 7081 in 1993, and 4520 into slug 278 in the same year.

Quite an amazing image, just wondering how long the open auto racks existed, and this must have been near the end for the caboose era
