Having changed paint schemes four times but still working on home territory, Conrail GP7 5827 (ex-PC 5827, exx-NYC 5827, originally built as C&O 5729 by GMD London) speeds through the Townline Tunnel on Conrail's Canada Division (former NYC/CASO/MCRR line) near Welland with a short train of CP cars. In two years, CN and CP would purchase the old CASO line from Conrail, and their longtime-assigned Canadian-built Geeps such as 5827 would be retired and sold off or scrapped.

  1. Very cool shot-Thanks Dan !

  2. Great shot, other than the removal of the Center track, and some vegetation growth, it looks pretty much the same today, 40 years later
