A move I have not seen, great catch.
Up the hill where the tanks are kept Trillium wants to build a transload facility but Thorold is resisting road access so far.
Time will tell!
Thanks Terry, it sure is a rarity to see. I was only able to thanks to a timely headsup. I only live down the street so I managed to beat them here.
Mike, it sure would be great to see industry again with Trillium in Thorold again. Last one was in 2019 on the very line. It’s time for more industry.
The ONR “Movie Train” almost parked in that yard, but the crew decided against it.
Thorold can’t waffle for transload for too long, railway lands are zoned industrial whether they like it or not.
A wonderful photo of some classic motive power !
I think the ONR crew didn’t have the keys for the derail. If I remember correctly that was one of the only runs without a Trillium pilot, and I think they only had access to switches, no details.
And thank you Klaucker! I’ve grown quite fond of the sw900. It seems to avoid me though as I haven’t shot it very much.
A transload would help, great catch though!
