Just before the merger , freshly repainted CP 9014 was very briefly assigned to Welland Ontario. It had arrived not long earlier after overhaul by Progress Rail and was basically still in factory fresh paint. Later this day 9014 would be sent back to Toronto to be expedited out west where it remains in work train service far from the cameras of the crowds of 'fans in the east. I'm quite pleased to see the CMQ paint eliminated and the CP "beaver" adorn these for the first time. Long may they run.
