I think I like this scheme so much because it harkens back to what seems like better, simpler times. Railroading was still human, paranoia about the hobby didn't exist, and you could walk around rail yards expected and trusted to exercise common sense, and stay out of the way. Trains ran on a timetable, and DPU's didn't exist. I'm getting sentimental in my old age
