Caption: The Canadian Pacific station at Linwood still survives today, just a few hundred feet east of the former Goderich Sub right of way, now the Goderich to Guelph, G2G, Trail. Dismantled piece by piece circa 1968 per the current owners, the structure was rebuilt on its present site, with the second floor expanded from the original one and a half stories as seen in this postcard. The freight shed portion of the station remained in its original location as a garage/workshop into the mid 2000s before demolition. While the Linwood name sign was no longer with the station, the owners found the south mileboard in the ditch along the right of way, and had it hung above the operator's bay window until the house was resided in 2020. It will be hung up once again after it is properly restored. The operator's window still features the original full width desk inside, with various marks from equipment over the years.
