Oh my this is very cool
The SPSF “Kodachrome” scheme always looked sharp. Note the big gap where the “SP” would have been applied ahead of the “SF” had the merger gone through. There’s a reason it used to be nicknamed Shouldn’t Paint So Fast…
End of April 1987 I saw this same unit up at Parry Sound. This was the only leaser in the bunch that I have ever seen in this paint scheme. Maybe it was the only?
This happened on occasion at CP Edmonton, where odd power would show up. A handful of times there was CP 4200′s in the yard, other times B&O or C&O power. They never stayed long, so you were pretty excited when finding something. The CP yard was a great place to go and see a wide variety of foreign cars, much more so than CN Calder.
Very nice. A much cleaner shot that the one I have here.
Thanks Jacob and those who came for a view. My question for the day is, what happened to the bottom of the hood doors? They appear shut but look bulged out at the bottom along the walkway.
