Standing at Bayview waiting for NS, CN or VIA trains, you never really knew when a CP would make an appearance, and here comes "Barnes Turn" with a single car for W.R Barnes Minerals (now Opta Minerals) in Waterdown. This place took cars into 2015-2-16 but stopped taking cars lately. W.R Barnes operated a sandstone mine but stopped operating it. Now Opta processes slag into sandstone. Not sure what they got in the rail cars.

  1. I miss the local run up to Waterdown. Glad I caught a few trips.
