Caption: A beautiful sunny day in Willows Saskatchewan see's JLCX 7586 sitting in the Elevator track. I'm not sure what the future holds for the 7586 as it had many components removed when I walked over too investigate, but it could be someones project unit. But who's? I shot the 7586 last September in North Dakota at NPR's shop. The unit was shipped by CP for NPR under JLCX reporting marks, billed to Red Coat Road and Rail which is operated by Great Western Railway. It will be interesting to see what the future holds for this GP10. As for it's past, it began as PRR 7238 later becoming CR 7586 from there it worked under the same number for OHCR, ADMX, and Prairie Grain Parters (who's paint it wears today).

To me, this is mighty interesting. Thanks for sharing, Matt. The NPR is a real smorgasbord of oddball power and castoffs.
Love these ‘elevator’ shots, too.
Thanks Arnold. Yes there was quite a mix of power around Lansford when I shot this unit south of the border. I’ll see if I can link to it. https://flic.kr/p/2oLqEWC
Wild as ever, that locomotive lineup. So impressive for the fans! Thanks for the link. I see you really get around.
Another beautiful day on the prairies. Did you happen to snap some pics of the Canron MK II tamper sitting next to the grain elevator? If so, were there any identifying logos or running numbers on it?
Willows not too far from Readlyn so I asked around and it’s being worked on by Saturday Locomotive Services. It’s in Readlyn now.
Excellent photo Matt.
Great photo.
