Due to the fact at this time of the year the sun rises so far to the East it was still too early for the right sun angle at the Englehart River bridge in Englehart. However, this image of the Work Train as taken from the Hwy 11 bridge turned out not too bad. ONR 1740 and 1741 were heading down to a location near Temagami to pick up a long string (39?) of ballast cars and would be dumping for most of the day. Behind the power is caboose #124, boxcar #2597 (generator, etc on board) and caboose #1873 at the rear. Beautiful morning.

  1. Love the interesting paint ‘schemes’ on the ON as of late. Nice one Mr Mooney.

  2. Thanks, Brad. I agree with you. I was not expecting anything other than looking for ‘chevrons’ and that Every Child Matters unit.
What I also liked is the leaves are still a soft green this late in the spring. The harsh dark greens of our southern summer just do not sit well with me. Especially in overcast.
