What a grubby looking day. Sometimes that is the way it goes when you are away from home and the weather forecast does not pan out as promised. I'm on the Hwy 11 overpass at Earlton looking north, as ONR train with 1730, 1736 and 2002 heads to North Bay from Englehart. I rather thought the F unit 2002 was going to perhaps the North Bay shop for some work as I rarely see these units "going along for the ride" since this is a short train. The 2002 was not retired until 2004. Leader 1730 is still on the roster.

I always found it remarkable to see such fertile flat farmland this far north.

Image shot with Kodak 1000 ISO film. My first crack at it and I found it too grainy for me. Often wondered if it was widely accepted.

  1. Earlton is where the canola is coming from for those four new Ontario Northland grain hoppers. Been frequent visitors to Bunge in Hamilton.
