Caption: Well, after all, it was Saint Patrick's Day, and there in the middle of a string of new blue and grey HBR power was this 'colour of the day' locomotive so I snapped it for posterity.
HBRY 5007, an EMD SD50 (ex-NREX 9844, exx-UP 9844, exxx-UP 5055, nee-MP 5055) was shut down in the HBR diesel shop yard along with more than a dozen other new and old HBRY units.

Green is for St Paddy’s Day!!! EMD stubbed their toes with the 50 series. Nice photo.
Thanks Don. I have a few more shots of these HBR 5000 series units as well as a the new HBR 6000 series that I will try to post in the days ahead.
That is a lot of power not making revenue?
Paul, you had “the luck of the Irish”, faith & begorra; what I would call “forest green” with eye-catching stripes. Looks like the unit coupled to the right is the same colour, and love the tiny Maple Leaf . To quote a Red Rose tea ad, “Only in Canada ? What a pity”. John
Good morning John. That is HBRY 5000 out of frame sporting the Canadian flag emblem.
