Caption: On familiar ground. HLCX 6091 can trace its history back to its original owner, Canadian National. It may have even passed this station before. My early arrival this morning found this SD40 along with FEC 709 preparing to run to the east end of the yard after the passage of an eastbound VIA train. From there they would assemble Toronto bound train 432. For a period of time three HLCX SD40’s graced the GEXR roster. Reportedly the “Woodward “ equipment on board was too complicated for the maintenance crew and after a few years they were replaced by more simple SD40’s.
