We were heading over to shoot pics of the restored and relocated CP SweetGrass station when we came across this CP train slowly making its way to the US border after being held up by a redboard.
CP 5026, 6258, BNSF 685 and CP 5033 provide the power. Nice to see an SD60M as well as a BNSF "Bonnet" in the same train consist. And a nice day as well. As you can see on the right; there is some rather flat lands in Southern Alberta. Train is crossing Hwy 846, and I had to scramble for this shot. Getting too old for this s**t.

  1. Arnold, may you never be to old to not chase trains !

  2. Ha!! Thanks. I’m wobbling on my pins these days, but still, the hobby is a lot of fun. :o )

  3. Nice consist. If this happened here there’d be 100 people chasing it. You were probably all alone out there!

  4. Yes, you’re right; Hostie. Nobody around, even though we were not far out of Lethbridge, where you’d think there was at least a few interested fans; unless this power is routine out there……
