Its a miserable day with steady rain and the odd snow flake and as usual something good usually comes along. Hitching a ride on CN 422, IOC BMEX 521 Rio Tinto, all finely refurbished makes its way along the Halton sub at mile 30. This is the second GMD SW1200MG unit I have shot here which makes it quite neat being only nine of these units were built for the Iron Ore Company of Canada. BMEX 520 made its way here just over a year ago. CN 422 consisted of CN 8813, CN 2714, BNSF 612 and the BMEX 521.

  1. Good show, Bill. Nice that you were able to catch it as I would figure not too many people would be out on what started off to be a really miserable morning.

  2. Is that one of the Mexican rebuilt 4M’s?

    Nice little critter :)
