Tis the season! CN 625-63 a Nordco M7 snow fighter, serial number 800309, was brand new 14 years ago today and was being put into service between South Parry & Dock Siding, ON. A fresh dump of heavy wet snow was quickly dealt with by the new machine, and the hot air switch heater seen here at Dock Siding. The front V-plow coupled with the adjustable side wings can clear a path 16.5 feet from each side of the track centerline, while the auger/blower assembly on the other end can throw snow well clear to either side of the machine.

  1. That is a beauty shot… very interesting

  2. Thanks Michael. Great times being on track with all those Work Equipment machines. While I enjoyed every day (and night) working on the railroad(s), I’m quite content to be retired and able to look back on what I did through the photos I took. :-)

  3. Wonderful shot, but it shows why I live in Florida!! 82 (real degrees) today.
