I was mucking around Hamilton and with the 0700 coming out of 'the hole' I was looking for a spot to shoot it in the general vicinity of the old CN station. With the shadow just underneath the CN sign, I liked what I saw and had to work around the chain link fencing that gets in the way (no one has cut holes in it .. yet ). I enjoyed the GMD-1's when they were given their final curtain call in 2019/2020/2021. I'm not sure the crews liked them though :)

  2. Is that you Jamie on the John st bridge?

  3. I was out that afternoon as well but not me on John, no.

This was a 1400 (pre 1500 days) shoving down the hole. Cars for Bayside. Can see buddy on the last hopper.

  4. Yes you’re right. I don’t put much time into my captions and will have this corrected.

I just figured the guy was riding the point as usual… but this crew had one on each end

  5. Most likely P&H not Bunge Bayside. Too many cars, our track only holds 13, there are 16 in the picture.

  6. They were Baysides. I think they left the extra cars on the P&H lead if memory serves.

  7. Here they are at Bayside http://www.railpictures.ca/?attachment_id=41513

  8. They didn’t go to P&H – if I was excited that it was suppose to happen it never did, I’ve still not shot anything at P&H since 2013 when it wasn’t P&H…

I only got this once. Still waiting to get CN here some day. maybe next spring :)

  9. It was busy this past spring with cars coming off CP. Made for some interchange chaos. Sadly, most if not all of the P&H moves were under darkness. Nearly 2 years since I’ve had sun there – a feat I think I’ve only managed three times. It’s an elusive one for sure.
