Caption: Just over 40 years ago, VIA Rail 189 with Budd RDCs 6135, 6211 poses at the Havelock station before departing on the second last run to Toronto. Engineer W. E. (Ted) Beam stands in the doorway, and he will hop down for a photo with his train shortly. The final westbound run would take place the following day, Monday, September 6, 1982. In a few years time, the Havelock train will be reinstated on June 3, 1985, before being cut for good in January 1990.
