I set out on quite a journey yesterday. 4 hours from Ottawa to Sherbrooke, QC to catch the last of the CMQs on home rails. To my disappointment I saw a post the previous day that 3817 had been lifted and sent back to Montreal. Not wanting to waste a trip I planned out about a week in advance I still made the journey. (With only 15 minutes to spare) To my surprise it had been replaced with another geep. CP 3015 had followed me after being used in Smiths Falls. It has only a couple months of service since being rebuilt in the states.

Here G22 waits on CP 223 to depart before heading to Megantic.

  1. Great catch. I’d be happy with either unit, was hoping 3015 would stick around Ontario longer.
