A classic Canadian scene as folks play shinny on a frozen pond, while a Late 421 passes by on a beautiful winter's day. I love days like this, and used to spend many hours on ponds playing hockey with my family when I was younger, and both my kids learned to skate on outdoor ponds not too dissimilar to this one. To me this is one of our many things that define us as a country.

  1. We used to play Shinny on Sittler’s Pond. Yep Darryl Sittler near my neighbourhood in Lorne Park, Mississauga. No trains in the scene though. ;)

  2. Nice. For us train fans, that’s what it is, reminiscing.
